Hyundai has recently announced that the all-new 2015 Genesis is compatible with wearable devices and also has support for Google Glass.
The South Korean premium sedan will very soon integrate a new Blue Link infotainment system which will provide support for a variety of wearable devices, including Google Glass. A Blue Link Glassware application will be offered just in time for the 2015 Genesis’ market launch and will be followed by other similar apps.
Owners of the 2015 Genesis may also get an opportunity of using features such as remote start and service information and Hyundai also claims that the drivers will save time and enjoy a higher level of convenience since they will remotely interact with the car without having to pull out the smartphone.
When using Google Glass, information about the vehicle will be presented as cards optimized specifically for the Glass user interface. The owner will get information such as when the maintenance is due via push notifications and will also schedule service by initiating a call through the device’s built-in feature. Through Blue Link the driver will have access to features such as remote door lock/unlock, remote start, vehicle finder, as well as POI send-to-car by Google.
