The entry-level Jeep Jeepster is inching closer towards the production phase and recently some of the spy photographers have managed to click some images of the model.
Undergoing cold weather testing in Northern Europe and wearing a Fiat 500L body, the prototype comes with an extended wheelbase and a seven slot grille. We can also see an increased ride height which should ensure it can handle more than the mall parking lot.
Talking about the power, the engine options remain unconfirmed but speculation suggests that there will be a variety of Fiat-sourced options including a 0.9-liter TwinAir Turbo engine with an output of 105 HP (74 kW), a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo mill rated at 160 HP (119 kW) and a 1.6-liter MultiJet II turbodiesel with an output of 105 HP (74 kW).
Nothing is confirmed yet but there are chances that the Jeepster will be introduced at the Geneva Motor Show this year before going on sale this fall. So we can expect more details to be out soon in the coming months about the model.
