Recently a photographer managed to take several new pictures of the 2015 Lexus IS F coupe undergoing testing.
The 2015 Lexus IS F coupe which could adopt the RC F moniker was spied undergoing testing on the tracks of the Nürburgring. Heavily camouflaged, the prototype comes with an aggressive exterior that borrows cues from the LFA and LF-CC concept. The spindle grille is flanked by large air intakes, while the hood-mounted intake gives an idea of the beast residing underneath. The model also comes equipped with an active rear spoiler and a four-tailpipe exhaust system.
The standard RC is expected to be launched at the Tokyo Motor Show with a hybridized 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a 3.5-liter V6 engine that generate output of 306 hp (228 kW). The RC F should also debut a few months later at the North American International Motor Show that will be held in Detroit.
There is no official confirmation but if the speculations are to be believed, the RC F model could be powered by a V8 engine that would be able to produce output of up to 460 hp (343 kW).
We will wait till further details are revealed by the company about this upcoming model.
