2015 Porsche Cayenne spied testing in Southern Europe

The 2015 Porsche Cayenne facelift has been captured testing in Southern Europe, ahead of a late 2014 release as a 2015MY.

The model comes with changes that appear to be more significant than originally believed as these prototypes were wearing a considerable amount of camo. We can conclude from this that Porsche is trying to differentiate the Cayenne from the upcoming Macan model so that the smaller SUV won’t cannibalize sales of its larger brother.

These prototypes were spied with extensive camouflage at the front and rear which could also mean that there are major changes in the front bumper, hood, rear boot, as well as both headlights and taillights that can be expected.

In fact in a couple of the pictures it can be noticed that there are needles on the gauges that are green which probably indicates that it could be the rumored Cayenne E-Hybrid version. The model is powered by a V6 3.0-liter engine generating 316 hp (235 kW) working together with a 94 hp (70 kW) electric motor and a 9.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. This means that the combined output will be of 410 hp (306 kW) and the model should be able to run on electric power for around 22 miles (35.4 km).
