Volvo showed several teaser photos of the 2015 XC90 at the recently concluded Concept Coupe media presentation held in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The company confirmed for a late 2014 launch as a 2015MY and in these images the new XC90 can be seen in these darkened pics where we take a look at the large front grille and newly designed headlights featuring T-shaped daytime running lights. We couls also see the SUV’s rear quarters with the distinctive LED taillights.

The 2015 XC90 will be Volvo’s first model developed under the ownership of Geely and will ride on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform with power being derived from the recently introduced Drive-E engines.

The model will also come with quite a few safety technologies that include Adaptive Cruise Control with Steer Assist, Animal Detection, as well as Road Edge and Barrier Detection with Steer Assist.

The company did not reveal any further details about the model and its specs but what we can say is that the concept looks quite stunning and we can surely expect more details to be out soon. Till then the excitement keeps building and Volvo would like to make full advantage of it and see that the details are rolled out at the perfect time.

Have a look at picture gallery, although many of these pictures are years old.
