According to Motor Authority, a source within Lexus has suggested the revival of their LF-LC concept. Automobile Magazine is reporting the car will be offered with three different engines with a high-output version of the company’s 5.0 liter V8 as well as a undisclosed hybrid engine which can produce up to 500 bhp (372 kW). More rumors suggest that there will also be a high-performing F variant with a twin-turbo V8 engine that could produce more than 600 bhp (447 kW). Reports from Automobile Magazine also state that the first full-scale clay model for the SC is being produced this year and consist the same LF-LC’s lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum construction, derived from the LFA supercar in order, in order to help dynamic performance and fuel economy.
Set to come out in 2017, the LF-LC will be powered by petrol/ electric drive train developing a total of 372 kW of power. The engine could be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission while a 500hp+ version is also said to be in the research and development phase.
