Lexus is planning to launch its cheapest all-electric car in the lineup with the 2025 model of the RZ. The new RZ 300e Standard will cost $43,975 including the destination fees, which means not only is it cheaper than the previous base model RZ, but it is also cheaper across the board.
The key factor for this decline is that the company has launched a new standard variant called RZ 300e Standard. There is an entry-level RZ Premium version and this model is equipped with standard elements that are not available in other models; for example, memory-activated ventilated seats, a panoramic view monitor, and also a panoramic glass roof are missing in this model. Moreover, it does not come with foldable exterior mirrors, a two-tone paint finish, or some small parts.
But the Standard trim isn’t skimpy on features and comes equipped with features like a ten-speaker sound system, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing windshield wipers, aluminum wheels, heated seats, and steering wheel, and most of Lexus’ safety aid features.
At its core, the RZ 300e Standard is nearly identical to other RZ iterations; the car’s battery and range are similar. The RZ 300e single motor makes 201 horsepower for the front wheels and has an estimated range of 266 miles on the EPA on the back of an 18-inch wheel and 72.8-kWh battery. The RZ 450e, on the other hand, is a dual-motor model and hence provides 308 horsepower but in this case, the battery range is only up to 220 miles. The range reduces to 144 miles when the car is fitted with optional 20-inch wheels.
Here is the good news: all other 2025 RZ grades, except rear camera washers and ventilated seats, are priced down to $7,000, making all finally stay at $60,000 and below.
