680 bhp Toyota Camry NASCAR Edition going up for auction

by SpeedLux

RK Motors Collector Car Auction (RKMCCA) has recently announced its plans to offer a one-off Toyota Camry NASCAR Edition at an upcoming auction. Originally unveiled at the 2010 SEMA Motor Show, the Camry NASCAR Edition is a street-legal, two-door coupe that was developed by Toyota and RK Motors together.

Under the hood, motivation is provided by a 5.9-liter NASCAR V8 engine that can generate an output of 680 hp (507 kW). It is further connected to a six-speed manual transmission which sends power to the rear-wheels.

That’s not all, RK Motors also plans to offer a 2012 Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition that has run just 366 miles (589 km) as displayed on the odometer. Named after Germany’s famous circuit, the limited edition model comes fitted with a carbon fiber body kit, a retuned suspension, an upgraded six-speed sequential transmission and a 4.8-liter V10 engine with output rated at 562 hp (419 kW). It enables the car to achieve the 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) sprint in 3.7 seconds and can hit a top speed of 325 kmph (202 mph).

The auction where the models would be displayed will be held at the Charlotte Convention Center and runs through 3rd November.
