A 56-year-old man from Spokane died in a car accident on Thursday when his car on the left of the road crashed into the Clark Fork River in Montana.
A Montana Highway Patrol report says that the man was riding in the car with two teenagers, a 15-year-old and 17-year-old, who are also from Spokane.
According to police, the 15-year-old was driving the car.
The car was traveling eastbound on I-90 shortly after 1:00pm. After the driver lost balance of the car, the car then over-corrected, rolled into the median, throughout the westbound lanes, and then fell into the river. The car came to rest in the water and was submerged to some extent.
All three passengers were using seatbelts. The 56-year-old man was declared dead at the scene, and the two teenagers were admitted to a local hospital as a precaution after they were freed from the vehicle.
