A new Nissan Sentra advertisement for Israeli TV is being applauded for being inclusive. The commercial features a young girl explaining the importance of a vehicle’s flexibility. She compares it to different families who have two moms or 2 papas.
“I believe you’re a family if you live together and love together,” she says. “The rest doesn’t matter, as long as you put your family in the center.”
It’s an extremely progressive move for a spiritual place like Israel. This advertisement might simply make you want to start a household … or purchase a Nissan.
Although a group of religious Zionist rabbis are opposing the car advertisement as it featured same-sex couples.
The Hotam Forum, an umbrella group for religious research institutes in the country posted an image on Facebook Tuesday night with a stop sign and they wrote that “In our family car there is a mother and a father,” plastering over original ad.
