ABT R8 GTR – the final product of ABT Sportsline will makes its presence felt at the Geneva Motor Show.
ABT has concentrated on the V10-powered R8 facelift which has a 5.2-lire FSI engine giving 550 HP (404 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. In addition to this ABT’s technicians can enhance the output to 620 HP (456 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque.
While the V10 R8 covers the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.5 seconds, the ABT-tuned version will manage it in 3.2 seconds, at a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h), whereas the normal model touches 193 mph (311 km/h).
Carbon fiber material have been used for making the side skirts, hood, front and rear wing, rear apron and also for the adjustable front splitter. As a result of these changes, the Audi R8 GTR has the curb weight of 1,515 kg (3,340 lbs), making it 110 kg (242 lbs) lighter than the standard model. Other changes include a stainless steel exhaust system, forged 19-inch alloys, and also coil-over sports suspension with adjustable dampers.
