Airstream is well known for their iconic silver-bullet travel trailers. This time the company has unveiled its all-new luxury passenger van – the Airstream Autobahn developed in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz and based on the Sprinter van.
The Autobahn van stays true to Airstream’s heritage of aircraft inspired design and innovation as much as possible considering it is based on another vehicle and not built from scratch like their trailers.
The interior takes cues from the private jet experience, offering a sleek, expansive space and handcrafted furnishings.
The luxury van offers seating for eight and comes with advanced Airstream Smart Control System for a flawless passenger experience.
The power entry sliding door opens onto a well-appointed cabin with high quality finishes, materials and amenities including durable wood trim, leather seating, dual refrigerators and individualized controls to enhance the passenger experience.
There are power footrests, heated seating and power outlets (120v and USB) along with a workspace equipped with a functional desk so in a way it is in no way worse than a business het. Just slower if you need to cover long distances.
Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 engine with 188 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque.
All this luxury does not come cheap with pricing to start at $133,024.
