The latest vehicle lineup from the Italian automaker Alfa Romeo, the 4C Spider, had actually made its debut some time ago in the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). However, the company has officially announced that the car will also be paying a visit to the old continent when the 2015 Geneva Motor Show event takes place.
The aforementioned Italian sports car is actually slated for sale summer this year. Yet, as Alfa Romeo has pointed out, the Euro-Spec variant of the vehicle will be greeting the public of this year’s Geneva Motor Show event. In terms of visual styling, the Euro-Spec variant of the vehicle looks exactly the same as its American counterpart. However, there is going to be a new color option, the Giallo, which is basically the yellow hue. The car also comes with projector style xenon headlamps. And, for customers that demand the ultimate option, they can pay extra money to get bug-eyed headlamps and carbon fiber hardtop.
The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider gets its power from a turbocharged 1.75L 4-cylinder engine. This engine offers a total power output of 237 bhp and a total torque of 350 Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels by means of what the company calls a twin clutch transmission (TCT) system. This helps the car accelerate from a standstill to the speed of 100 km/h in just four and a half seconds. The top speed of the vehicle is rated at 258 km/h.
As it turns out, the Italian automaker will also be showing off the Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe facelift besides the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider at the upcoming auto expo in Geneva. Speaking of the coupe, it is going to offer a Hi-Fi sound system, care kit, car cover, luxury carpets and new bi-LED headlamps featuring surrounds made of the carbon fiber material.
According to Alfa Romeo, the coupe will cost GBP 51,500 while the roadster will cost GBP59,500.
