Anderson Germany introduces the Audi R8 V10 Racing Edition

by Alex

Making the Audi R8 look better is something that Anderson Germany claims it can do. The Dusseldorf’s tuning package, called the Racing Edition includes modifications to both the internal and external of the R8 V10 model. The package includes an increase in peak power of the engine to 585 hp or 436 KW.

The tuning team was also well aware of the fact that looks matter a lot and therefore the package gives an aerodynamic look and adds to the dazzle of the car in totality. Carbon fiber has been used for most parts in the package which includes the front apron, the discrete rear spoiler, rear diffuser, rear window bordering and the exterior mirrors.

The wheels of 19 inch dia are wrapped around in 235/35 and 295/30 tires and have been given a carbon finish with orange accents.

The interior too has been done up with carbon fiber and combined with leather and orange stitching. Door trims, radio frame, ashtray, gear stick frame, hand brake knob and steering wheel all have been included in the package for a carbon make up.

To make the car lighter a new concept termed valve commanded exhaust system has been used. This makes the car lighter by 17 kg or 37 lbs. while more efficient air filters and modified engine management software ensures the car is lighter and gains an extra 60 hp in power.

The top speed of the car as indicated by the company is more by 12 kmph or 7.5 mph. Other than this the performance figures or the cost price of the car has not been released by the company as yet.
