The Geneva Motor Show might have seen the 408 HP A3 Sedan stealing the focus from the RS3 Sportback but the good thing is, Audi has started paying heed back to the RS3 Sportback. The Ingolstadt based company just released a fresh set of pictures boasting its model that has the power of 340 ponies making its presence felt on the streets of Monaco. The company now is in the process of setting things up so as to start shipment of the first examples of the hot hatch from this spring.
The four wheel coupe derives its power from a 2.5 liter turbocharged 5 cylinder engine producing 340HP and 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) of torque, that would suffice for the sedan to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds. The statistics show that BMW 1 Series M coupe is slower by 0.1 seconds. Priced at €49,900 or $68,200) in Germany, the price was scaled down by €600 ($835) than its Bavarian rival.
As it was told earlier when the first presentation of the car occurred, the RS3 Sportback has an understated design for an RS model. The changes that took place having an edge to them from the standard A3 Sportback were the restyled front and rear bumpers, the rear spoiler and the lowered body (- 25 mm).
The atmosphere in the interiors of the car presents what is expected of a coupe with the RS logo on it. The fundamental tools includes sport seats with Fine Nappa leather upholstery, a flat bottomed multifunction steering wheel, two zone automatic air conditioner, uprated audio system, Xenon Plus headlights with LED daytime running lights and 19 inch wheels.
The add ons include black 19 inch alloys rimmed by a red flange, bucket seats, styling packages in black or matt aluminum or inlays in the new Aluminum Race material.
