The luxury German automaker, Audi, seems to have found a new way of promoting its vehicle lineups. Well, at least that is what it seems as of the moment. Believe it or not, the German company has successfully managed to create a snow sculpture which ideally depicts the company’s Q7 sport utility vehicle (SUV) model. The snow sculpture can currently be seen in Austria but of course, it won’t exist for long for it is made of snow and snow does melt after a while.
It took Audi five days in total in order to build the snow sculpture in question. It was made at a particular ski resort in Austria by means of multiple shovels, chain saws and also a set of other tools. Needless to say, it was not as easy as it seems to build such a sculpture, even for the professionals that delve in the automotive industry within every single day of their lives. Nonetheless, in spite of the numerous difficulties that the staffs at Audi had to come across while attempting to create the company’s Q7 snow sculpture, they still ended up with quite an impressive result. As mentioned earlier, the snow sculpture actually looks as identical as it goes with the real deal. The sculpture looks a lot like the Q7 SUV which Audi presented during the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) that took place in Detroit, US, only one month earlier.
Speaking of the 2015 Audi Q7 SUV model, customers will be able to choose from a number of engine options, with the lowest trim offering a 2.0L TFSI engine, with 252 PS and 370 Nm of power and torque, and the highest trim offering a 3.0L TDI engine capable of 272 PS and 600 Nm of power and torque.
It is believed that Audi will also launch a plug-in hybrid Q7 e-tron Quattro variant sometime in the future. This one will have a 3.0L TDI engine integrated with an electric motor and an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox. Power is rated at 373 PS while the torque is believed to lie somewhere around 700 Nm.
