Behold the AC Schnitzer ACZ4 5.0d!

by SpeedLux

The AC Schnitzer has eventually taken the wraps off its one-off creation, which it calls the ACZ4 5.0d. Making use of the BMW Z4 sDrive 23i chassis as its chassis, what can this one-off vehicle from the aforementioned automaker can actually offer?

Well, to begin with, the car comes with quite a few carbon fiber components. The carbon fiber components on the vehicle include front fenders, front spoiler, boot lid, rear skirt and roof. In addition to all those carbon fiber components, the car also sports a ventilated engine hood, lightweight forged alloy wheels measuring 19 inches in diagonal, and also many more pretty exciting stuffs.

Stepping into the cabin of the car, nothing has changed much when compared to the original Z4 roadster from the luxury German automaker, BMW. However, this one from the AC Schnitzer comes with aluminum pedals, painted trim and also a set of racing seats made of the carbon fiber material, a material that is so light in weight yet is so durable.

In case of the original BMW Z4 roadster, a 2.5L 6-cylinder engine hides under the hood of the car. Yet, as for this version from the AC Schnitzer, that engine has been removed in favor of a more powerful engine, a 3L 6-cylinder diesel engine with triple turbochargers. This engine has been derived from the M50d. Thanks to this very engine, the car can offer 430 PS of power output and 840 Nm of torque in total. A time window of 4.5 seconds is enough for the vehicle to accelerate from a complete standstill and reach the speed mark of 100 km/h. Its top speed, meanwhile, lies at the figure of 300 km/h.

When it comes to the performance of the AC Schnitzer ACZ4 5.0d, the car is also backed by sports exhaust pipes that are very light in weight, high performance brakes, adjustable racing suspension, a limited slip differential and also an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The latter two come from the BMW M3 E92.

Unfortunately enough, however, this car from the AC Schnitzer is not for sale at all. Yet, the automaker behind the development of the vehicle claims that if the car was to be sold, it would cost no less than 113,965 Euros.
