It seems that one of the luxury automakers from the Great Britain, Bentley, is not yet willing to end the lifespan of its Mulsanne vehicle lineup. As a matter of fact, the company is rumored to be working on a new Mulsanne model. Well, if you think this is just a rumor, you may be completely mistaken. Thing is, someone has recently snatched a number of images that seem to depict a long wheelbase variant of the British company’s Mulsanne model.
The Bentley Mulsanne LWB was spotted at quite a distance while it was being evaluated by the luxury British automaker. However, it can be seen that the car sports a design that may well remind loyal fans of the brand of typical Bentley cars. Yet, this time, the car features a B-pillar that is pretty thick, which will allegedly make the car longer by some 200 to 250 mm. Needless to say, this can only mean that the rear passengers of the vehicle will get even more comfort than ever thanks to a more spacious rear compartment. After all, it seems that the car is designed to be driven by a chauffeur.
Well, at this point of time, details regarding the vehicle are still kind of limited. Nonetheless, word on the street is that the car will be available only for those residing in the origin country of pandas, China. This is rather confusing, especially if we take into account the fact that even such companies as Rolls-Royce (Britain) and Mercedes-Maybach (Germany) are offering the LWB variants of their Phantom and S-Class in a number of markets around the world, not only in the Chinese market.
Under the hood of the car, it is said that customers will find a 6.75L V8 engine that is capable of producing 505 bhp and 1020 Nm of power and torque, respectively. This makes it possible for the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h within only 5.1 seconds, give or take.
