Since the 2015 New York Auto Show event has officially kicked off, everyone can now see for themselves the latest creation from the luxury British automotive marquee, McLaren. The company has officially taken the veil off the 570S Coupe model.
Also known as the baby McLaren, this vehicle is the first model in the range of the British company’s Sports Series vehicle lineups. Yes, the car looks familiar since it sports a design typical of most McLaren vehicles. Even its engine has been carried over as well from its older brothers that are readily available on the market. The car packs a 3.8L V8 engine with twin turbochargers. Nevertheless, McLaren has made sure that at least 30% of the components installed onto this baby McLaren are new. As a result, the car is capable of offering a total power output and torque of 570 HP and 600 Nm. There is also a 7-speed SSG gearbox that delivers power to the rear wheels of the car.
In order to sprint from a standstill to the speed mark of 100 km/h, this latest creation from the luxury British brand will take only 3.2 seconds. In addition to that, it is capable of reaching a top speed of 328 km/h.
Customers that spend their money on this vehicle can also expect new suspensions for the front and rear ends of the car, complete with adaptive dampers. In addition to that, they will also receive double wishbones and anti-roll bars for the front and rear ends of the vehicle. The car is also coming with 19-inch alloy wheels on the front and 20-inch alloy wheels on the rear ends.
Yet, when customers get into the cabin of the vehicle, they will be welcome by the company’s IRIS 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that grants access to seemingly all functions the car has to offer. These functions include climate controls, SIRIUS satellite radio, DAB digital radio and also Bluetooth connectivity. The driver will even benefit from a newly developed TFT digital instrument panel as well.
For those who are willing to spend even more money on the McLaren 570S Coupe, they will even be eligible for a carbon fiber trim, paired with Nappa and Alcantara leather upholsteries. Yet, if those are not enough, they will also get to enjoy high quality audio coming from the Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker audio system and also an 8-speaker sound system.
