Behold the Porsche Cayman GT4, a Real Beast!

Making its debut on the World Wide Web yesterday, the luxury German sports car, Porsche Cayman GT4, has shown its face once again, this time in a video clip that looks pretty exciting. Heck, the video clip even shows how it is well capable of scaring onlookers or bystanders. Only one thing seems to be the issue here, though. The German automaker is launching the Cayman GT4, which is a top-of-the-range model, close to the recent launch of its 911 vehicle model. For some, this may as well mean it is better for them to purchase the Cayman GT4 rather than the 911, hence the Cayman cannibalizing the sales of the company’s 911. But does Porsche really care about it? Well, perhaps not.

The German company claims that the newly launched Porsche Cayman GT4 is actually the end result of a long-awaited step that pushes the limits. To suit that claim, the video clip mentioned earlier shows the Cayman GT4 going from city to track, managing to scare, if not amaze, bystanders in the process.

Of course, for such a special and powerful sports car, the track used should be a special track as well. This is why Porsche chooses to feature the Nurburgring in the video clip. The company claims that the Cayman GT4 can easily lap the Nordschleife within only 7 minutes and 40 seconds. This is all made possible thanks to a 3.8L engine with six inline cylinders. This engine delivers 385 hp of power at its peak performance. Combine that with a ride height that has been lowered by 30 mm and a fixed rear wing and the car becomes as aerodynamic as it can be. And, for a precise braking, the car benefits from the technology used on the Porsche 911 GT3.

The new Porsche Cayman GT4 comes only with a 6-speed manual transmission, enabling it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. As for the top speed, it goes beyond the mark of 295 km/h.
