Those automakers from Italy are particularly famous for their ability to create exotic supercars with high performance and very attractive design. Yet, as for American automakers, most of them are very well known for their ability to build muscular cars with huge power that comes from monstrous V8 engines. But what will come as a result of mixing both the American and the Italian automakers? Well, the Puritalia 427 Roadster may well be the answer.
This new vehicle model is being built by a start-up automaker that is based in Naples. It has a dimension resembling that of the MX-5 from the Japanese automaker Mazda. Yet, the car manages to pack a muscular V8 motor inside its engine bay. This V8 engine is set to give the car a total power output of 440 hp. Yet, if this does not feel close to adequate, customers can choose to add a supercharger, which will increase the engine’s power output to 597 hp.
Mated to the engine are a 6-speed manual transmission and a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) drivetrain. The car will also be quite light in terms of weight. It will weigh in at only 1,150 kg, which makes it just slightly heavier than the Fiesta from the American automaker Ford.
Taking into accounts all those elements that the car has to offer, it is very likely to win itself the heart of a decent number of customers in the world. Nevertheless, there is one possible drawback here. In order to lay their hands on the Puritalia 427 Roadster, customers will have to take as much as £142,000 out of their pockets. Needless to say, chances are, only customers with very deep pockets out there that can actually afford this vehicle model in particular. But is the car really worth such a high price tag?
