BMW M6 Revealed – First Look and Photos

Site DefaultBMW14 years ago3 Views

BMW has finally revealed details about the M6, and they plan to release the Cabrio and Coupe variants simultaneously. The new M6 will feature the same basic mechanical structure as its predecessor which means it’s still going to be powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 capable of delivering 560 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque. This power is connected to a seven-speed dual clutch M DCT transmission.

This amazing power enables the BMW M6 to go from 0 to 60 in under 4.1 seconds, and hit an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. The fuel consumption is more than acceptable for a car that delivers such power: 28.5mpg and 232g CO2/km (27.4mpg and 239g/km for the convertible).

As did the M5, the M6 also features a HUD display, heated seats, BMW Professional navigation and Merino leather trim. Options include 20-inch wheels instead of the 19-inchers, BMW Night Vision and a B&O stereo.

What’s quite astonishing in this car is the price. The Coupe starts at $148,000, and the Cabrio at $156,000. Keep in mind though, that this price represents the standard, no-option version of this car. So what you should ask yourself is whether or not this car is worth the 150 grand, and whether or not you might find a better car for less money.
