New BMW X6 rendered as a convertible

by Max Richardson

Last week BMW unveiled the new second-generation X6.

The X6 is an odd vehicle and to many car enthusiasts it does not make sense, but despite that it sells pretty well. Sure why would anyone basically buy the X5 with a funky rear and less room?

Talented Theophilus Chin has now digitally imagined a convertible version of the new BMW X6 SUV. This is very unlikely BMW will ever do anything like that, but Chin has a good point, saying “since BMW builds some awkward SUVs, why not add an X6 Cabriolet to its range?”, he also adds it could work “as somehow people would buy anything with a BMW badge on”.

The project does remind us the discontinued Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet and a potential rival to the rumored Range Rover Evoque convertible.
