BMW X6

The Bavarian car manufacturer’s X6 is a revived version of the X5, a fact made clear by the obvious affinities in design.

The X6 is stronger, being powered by a 4.4L V8 capable of producing 406 horsepower, which means that it’s a serious threat to the Porsche Cayenne GTS. The top speed is electronically limited to 156mph, and the acceleration from 0-60 is done in 5.4 seconds, pretty good for a SUV.

According to BMW, the X5 and X6 have different targets. The X5 has 3 seats more than the X6, and it also has a trunk which is 50L bigger than in the X6. The newer model has a more coupe-like design, making it more aerodynamic (granted, it’s like rounding the edges of a brick), thus making the X6 the first SUV-coupe with 4 doors.

BMW xDrive System, the Dynamic Performance Control is a huge step in the dynamic control of a vehicle. The sensors on the X6 automatically correct the heading of this vehicle in order to provide better safety. The functioning of this system is displayed on the dashboard.

The BMW X6 had its debut at the 2008 Detroit Motor Show, with a base price starting at $100.000.
