The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse premiered as the fastest roadster in the world at a speed of 375 kmph which is too shallow for Bugatti. Recent reports from Bugatti did official confirmation of Vitesse being the fastest supercar in the world.

The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse set the record for open-top production sports cars at the Volkswagen Group’s proving grounds in Ehra-Lessien with a top speed of 408.84 kmph or 254.04 mph driven by Chinese entrepreneur and passionate race driver Anthony Liu. The company plans to unveil the world record edition Vitesse in the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show 2013.

Recently the Guinness World Records had taken away the title of world’s fastest supercar from Bugatti after the former found out that Bugatti had deactivated the speed limiter during the setting of the record in the year 2010. The car had at that time clocked the top speed of 431.072 kmph.
