All is left is about one week now before the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) event finally kicks off in Detroit, US. As such, it is only natural that more and more rumors and official bits of information keep on coming. This time, it has been reported that the Buick Cascada as well as the Buick Envision will also make their debut in the highly anticipated automotive exhibition event.
To begin with, the Buick Envision is a crossover with a medium size. Buick is reportedly planning to slot this particular vehicle model between its Enclave and Encore. It is reported that the company will be launching a variant dedicated for the US market. Well, while details of the US-spec model are rather scarce, its Chinese-spec was already released in the previous year and it came with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, turbocharged. The engine is capable of 256 hp and 353 Nm of power and torque. The Chinese version also comes with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The vehicle is able to go from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 8.4 seconds.
As for the Buick Cascada, the Automotive News reports that it will basically be a rebadged Vauxhall/Opel Cascada. With that being said, this one will not have too many tweaks for its visual styling. Perhaps the only things new about the vehicle are the Buick badge and the front grille with a waterfall design. There have been no exact details, either, on the powertrain that this vehicle will have. However, rumor has it the car will come with a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine capable of delivering 197 hp of power. If that is not the case, the car will supposedly pack a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that spits out 250 hp of power output.
