Buick Could Reveal Regal Wagon Following Trademarks

General Motors has now submitted trademark applications that are meant for a Buick Regal wagon.

The firm has submitted to protect the terms Regal Tourx and also Tourx, classified as vehicle nameplates, as per filings identified by AutoGuide.

Previous rumors have suggested the upgraded 2017 Regal will be built in Germany by means of GM’s Opel division as a rebadged variation of the next-generation Insignia.

The present Regal, introduced for the 2011 model year, is already related to the current-generation Insignia, which is supplied as a Sports Tourer wagon (envisioned) in particular markets.

The Tourx application recommends the next-generation schedule could possibly consist of a wagon for the US market, though certain information are vague and also numerous trademark nameplates never make it to business.

Opel in 2013 revealed that its Rüsselsheim will at some point construct Buick-badged cars. The comments were interpreted as verification that the Regal would no more be constructed at GM’s Oshawa, Ontario, manufacturing plant.
