The luxury automaker from the soils of the US, Cadillac, has always been so famous for its luxury vehicle lineups. Yes, the brand is identical to luxury. However, this is going to change in the future, it seems. At least, that is what Johan de Nysschen, the President of Cadillac, himself has pointed out. According to Nysschen, the automaker is determined to bring entry level crossover and sedan models to the customers around the globe.
As reported by the Autoblog, the President of Cadillac has revealed the company’s said plan during the Detroit Auto Show that is taking place this year. According to the most recent reports, Cadillac will start by offering a new entry level sedan model before the crossover rolls out. The sedan will roll out sometime in the year 2017. It will be slotted under the company’s highly luxurious ATS model. The upcoming entry level Cadillac sedan will most likely go head to head against the Mercedes-Benz CLA and the Audi A3.
Then, a year after the introduction of the entry level Cadillac sedan, the luxury US automaker will start introducing its entry level crossover model. This one will enter the slot below the SRX which happens to be the company’s bestselling crossover model. As for the crossover in question, it will aim at the Mercedes-Benz GLA, the Audi Q3 and the likes of them. The new Cadillac crossover will most likely have a similar size as the Buick Encore.
The President of Cadillac, Johan de Nysschen, has also disclosed the company’s plan of launching a flagship sedan model. This will happen sometime around the year 2020. According to Nysschen, this will ideally represent the Cadillac brand. This still mysterious vehicle model will reportedly give the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the BMW 7-Series and the Audi A8 a run for their money.
