Car park demolition costs Winchester council £800,000

The Friarsgate car park closed previous year quite much safety fears and was going to get knocked down for creating the way for 2.3-hectare (5.6 acre) of the development of Silver Hill.

This project has even collapsed in the February and also city council which has even hired demolition firm through Armac to always take down part for deteriorating the building. The Work which is due is expected to get finish by the month of March.

Estates Councillor of Winchester City Council known as Steve Miller mentioned: “The condition related to car park has continues to always deteriorate and so there is always some risk which is the parts of structure can fall on the passers-by, leading to the injury.”

During the end of work, site will offer parking spaces of 60 car.

The scheme of Silver Hill, that had also been because to consist about 200 homes, public spaces and shops, and also new bus station, that is scrapped after several years of legal backbiting.
