Vuhl, a Mexico based automobile manufacturer, is planning to debut a lightweight sports car. The two brainchild behind the Vuhl 05 sports car are Iker and Guillermo Echeverria. Vuhl is an abbreviation that stands for Vehicles of Ultra-High Performance and Light Weight. Vuhl confirmed that they will be announcing their upcoming car, Vuhl 05 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Vuhl 05 is powered by a 2.0 Litre 4 cylinder DOHB Ecoboost engine. The 2000 cc. engine can generate a maximum power of 285 bhp and a maximum torque of 310 lb ft. The engine features a aluminium monocoque frame and is lined with honeycomb panels.
Vuhl 05 can travel at a top speed of 152 mph. It is able to accelerate 62 mph within a period of 3.7 seconds. Vuhl 05 features a 6 speed manual transmission system. The Mexican government has been offering subsidy to aid in building the sports car. According to Iker Echeverria, Vuhl 05 is a car that you can take for a spin on the weekends.
