The Malibu vehicle model is one of the most important vehicle lineups that Chevrolet has. With that being said, it is only appropriate that the company makes sure the vehicle retains its fan base with every single installment of the model. Back in the year 2013, the US automaker applied a number of changes onto the vehicle. Yet, now in 2014, the company seems determined to design yet another variant of the Malibu.
As reported by the Automotive News, the staffs at Chevy are now working hard to make sure that it won’t take more than a year for the new Malibu to make its world debut. One interesting point about the vehicle model in the pipeline is that it will feature a groundbreaking design, as pointed out by the chief of General Motors’ product development, Mark Reuss. In fact, Reuss even goes as far as to ask investors the last time they saw such a distinctive and dramatically designed car from General Motors. In addition to that, Ed Welburn, the global head of design at the US automaker, claims that the car is bound to make a significant statement, thanks to its highly passionate design.
A decent number of people out there have also commented on the upcoming Chevrolet Malibu. Most of them give positive feedbacks regarding the car that Chevy is prepping. Taking everything into account, the Automotive News believes that the new Chevy Malibu will give the US automaker quite a huge profit. It seems that the car will cost less to produce yet will sell for a better price. Also, according to the General Motors itself, together with the Chevrolet Cruze, the upcoming Chevrolet Malibu will give GM $800 million profit in the year 2016. Well, that sure is a hell lot of money involved there.
