Chevrolet is top gear to the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray by releasing a new video that highlights the car’s digital instrument cluster.

The eight-inch digital display is flanked by three analog gauges (for speed, fuel level, and engine-coolant temperature) and provides drivers with 69 different sources of information. Not only that, the display also has three different themes – sport, tour and track – which are designed for specific driving scenarios.

The touring theme emphasizes on infotainment and multimedia, while the sport theme focuses on driving which is mainly due to prominent shift indicator and a large tachometer. The track mode goes one step further with features such as a race-inspired layout containing a sweeping tachometer, Corvette racing inspired shift lights and permanent lap-time displays.

If that was not enough, the display also features an acceleration timer, a lap timer and a friction bubble that displays the car’s lateral and longitudinal G-forces.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray is expected to go on sale later this year and the pricing starts from USD 51,995 with the assumption that the dealer isn’t trying to gouge you an extra $10,000.
