Visitors to the 2015 New York Auto Show are now able to witness first-hand the next generation variant of the Chevrolet Spark. Yes, the American automaker has officially taken the wraps off the aforementioned vehicle model. At a glance, the car looks quite evolutionary, thanks to its newly designed front grille that now comes with dual ports. We can also see more conventionally designed headlamps flanking the front grille.
Exploring farther sections of the car, its side and rear ends, there are prominently designed character lines to see, for a start. In addition to that, those who purchase this latest Spark model from Chevy are also going to benefit from a rear wing spoiler integrated to the tailgate and also a sloping roofline.
In the adjacent video, Chevrolet also showcases the public of what kind of interior to expect from this 2016 model year Spark. However, viewers can only see the interior for a very short while in the video. Yet, according to Chevy, the car will please its owners with high quality fabrics that ensure comfort on its seats. In addition to those comfortable seats, the interior of the car will also be gifted with the American marquee’s MyLink onboard infotainment system featuring a 7-inch display, trapezoidal air vents and also a color-coded interior trim.
To get mobile, the car counts on the company’s Ecotec 1.4L 4-cylinder engine. Thanks to this engine, this car has no less than 98 bhp of power output in total. Chevrolet is also giving customers the option to either go with the standard 5-speed manual transmission available right out of the factory or install the optional continuously variable transmission (CVT) system.
The 2016 Chevrolet Spark will most likely be manufactured in Chevy’s plant in the South Korea. The car will reportedly be available for customers in over forty markets all over the world. By the way, there is no word on pricing just yet.
