A number of spy images from China have recently made their way onto the World Wide Web. These images reveal the China-spec Ford Mondeo facelift. Well, for your information, what is known as the Ford Mondeo in China as well as Europe is also known as the Ford Fusion in the US. Judging by the look of the car in the adjacent spy images, this should be a facelift variant of the model.
As a facelift, the car is seemingly coming with only a minor set of revisions. For an example to begin with, its front fascia seems to have been slightly redesigned. This is most likely to accommodate the newly designed front bumper. In addition to the new front bumper, the car will also be equipped with new graphics for its headlamps. Yet, taking a look further to the rear end of the vehicle, we are able to see that the old boot lid and taillights of the outgoing model have been replaced with newer ones.
Based on the most recent reports out there, it is very likely that the American automaker in charge of the vehicle, Ford, will be taking the wraps off the model at the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show in April this year. There is also quite a good chance that the car will be going on sale in the Chinese market this year itself. Report has it, the car will be the responsibility of the Changan-Ford joint venture. As for the engine, there is not going to be any change, it seems. This means that the China-spec Ford Mondeo facelift, as reported by the CarNewsChina, will still be counting on a host of petrol engines that deliver either 181 bhp, 203 bhp or even 242 bhp in terms of total power output.
