According to the French based automaker, two special editions of the DS4 and the DS5, named the Pure Pearl Editions, will be officially presented to the public at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. Citroen says that both the DS4 Pure Pearl Edition and the DS5 Pure Pearl Edition will be sold in selected European markets and this won’t include the United Kingdom.
The Citroen DS4 and DS5 Pure Pearl Editions are finished in pearlescent white with gloss chrome detailing, the cabin gets leather upholstery with blue overstitching and the models will be sitting on a fresh set of 18-inch alloy wheels. The two models are also getting features like the Citroen eTouch system, the eMyWay satellite navigation system, the xenon dual-function headlamps with wipers, the front and rear park assist and more.
This particular DS4 and DS5 series will be offered exclusively with 2.0-litre HDi 160 FAP (Filtre a Particule’- in French, it means to particulate filter) turbo diesel engine, with power output rated at 163 hp and 340 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission (a first for the DS4).
Also available to view at Paris Motor Show will be new environmental technologies such as the manufacturer’s new PureTech petrol engines, and the company’s all-electric DS3 Electrum concept car. Other models will also be on-show, including the C4 L, the C-Elysee, and the Numero 9 concept. Sales of the Citroen DS4 and DS5 Pure Pearl Editions will begin in 2013 with prices yet to be confirmed, but stay tuned for more updates coming from the Paris Motor Show on these two new variants from Citroen.
