Citroën has unveiled a new-generation SUV at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show: C5 Aircross. Borrows directly from the Aircross Concept that was revealed in 2015, it integrates assertive style with interior room for the well-being of everyone on-board. A ‘people-minded’ SUV, this recent model takes advantages from the newest technologies that guarantees easier driving and a modern way to comfort. New C5 Aircross accounts for an important milestone in the development of the Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme. This is the world debut of a revolutionary new suspension system having Progressive Hydraulic Cushions™, which provides a uniquely smooth and comfortable ride that is generally Citroën. The New C5 Aircross is set to launch in China in the second half of this year and in Europe in the next year.

The all-new C5 Aircross SUV is set to release in China this October. The SUV trend has swept the world and now represents nearly one quarter of worldwide vehicle sales. To help target a range of worldwide markets, New C5 Aircross marks a new stage in the brand’s product planning.

Representing a major step in the development of the Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme, New C5 Aircross is the first vehicle to be geared up with a new suspension system with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions™. This system provides enhanced damping for exceptional ride comfort that is synonymous with Citroën.

Citroën is making the way with a new generation of SUVs with more personality and ease of use for all on-board. New C5 Aircross stands apart with its special, dynamic and confident look, inside and out. The high bonnet line, 2.73m wheelbase, short overhangs, flowing organic lines and strong graphic functions, convey a bold and comforting identity. The brand is again showing its capacity to have a say about its unique identity and its ability to resume established codes in any sector.

Looking at the interior there are welcoming seats, a wide and tall central console, and soft and warm items improve the feeling of safety and comfort. Benefiting from the EMP2 platform, the new vehicle provides intelligent architecture and improved well-being on-board. The available room is open and full of light, because of the panoramic sunroof. There are front heated seats with massage features and welcoming rear seats with extra leg space. The atmosphere in the car is even purified because of the air quality treatment.

Geared up with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch HD touchscreen, New C5 Aircross further includes a wireless inductive charging feature for smartphones as well as a range of cutting-edge driving aids, consisting of Active Safety Brake, Active Lane Departure Warning and Adaptive Cruise Control along with Stop Function. The car even includes Grip Control and Hill Assist Descent Control to assist you have fun with an off-road adventure in entire safety. New C5 Aircross is going to be the first Citroën having PHEV Plug-In Hybrid technology.
