For those looking forward to the next generation Mark X from Toyota, well, they are in for a treat. The Japanese automaker has decided to take the veil off its Mark X designed for the 2015 model year. It will, however, be a limited edition known as the Mark X GRMN. For those who remember, the company had actually once previewed the car in its concept version. The car gets its chassis from the standard Marx X 350S yet it comes with several new additions.
The bumper on the front fascia of the car is new, to begin with. In addition to the front bumper, the car now also comes with a roof made of the carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) material. Going to the sides of the car, it now sports a pair of black side mirrors and alloy wheels measuring 19 inches in diagonal. Then, going to the rear fascia of the vehicle, it comes with a spoiler mounted on its trunk.
Stepping into the cabin, there may not be too many changes to expect. Nonetheless, this next generation Mark X comes with comfortable sport seats, carbon fiber interior trim and even a sporty steering wheel as well. And if those are not enough, owners of the vehicle will also get to enjoy red contrasting stitches, ultra suede material and piano black accents within the interior of their car.
Now, when it comes to performance, the car will reportedly pack a 3.5L V6 engine capable of 321 PS and 380 Nm of power and torque. The car will also bring a 6-speed manual gearbox with it, complete with limited slip differential from Torsen. Additional chassis reinforcements, high performance disc brakes and a set of sport tuned suspensions are all going to be available as well on the car. Since it is a limited edition vehicle, the Japanese automaker will only be building 100 examples of the 2015 Toyota Mark X. The price is expected to begin from 5.4 million Japanese Yens.
