Italian carmaker Alfa Romeo will be sending a batch of boutique designed concept cars to the motor show in Geneva this coming March. You may have heard of the Spider designed by Pininfarina revealed through a sketch published over websites last January. The second one is out and it will be coming from the Turin design company Stile Bertone. The concept car will be a coupe called Alfa Romeo Pandion.
We do not have the official images yet of the car but we have leaked images to share with you. The Pandion looks very aggressive using fluidic design lines. The details about its specs are still very vague but we got a hint that it will derive its DNA from the 8C Competizione so we can expect a jaw dropping performance.
Unfortunately, we were told that the Alfa Romeo Pandion will not go into production but just serve as the prototype for the future cars of the company. Insiders say that you can expect similar lines to be featured on the replacement of the Alfa Romeo sports coupe, the Brera.
Something new from Alfa Romeo is always welcome and it can definitely boost the partnership of the Italian car manufacturer with Chrysler especially when they plan to roll out models to the U.S. under the latter’s badge.
We will keep you posted as soon as we get the full details about the Alfa Romeo Pandion.

Well, it doesn’t surprise me that it won’t go into production, I just didn’t see how it possibly could. But the fact that it’s serving as a prototype sounds promising. I’d like it if new cars started to look like this in the mainstream. That way, people wouldn’t stare at you for driving one. 😛
