The future of the Corvette ZR1 continues to remain in doubt but that hasn’t stopped the company from considering other models.
Speaking to one of the well known auto magazines, Corvette product manager Harlan Charles indicated that the company could build a model that would draw inspiration from the Corvette Z06X concept which debuted at the SEMA Motor Show way back in 2010. He further explained that the idea was a non-street-legal, factory-built track car, and that is something that they were considering would be a great thing to apply to the new Corvette Z06.
As of now the car hasn’t been green-lighted for the production but talking about the concept, it was co-developed by Pratt and Miller and came equipped with features such as a carbon fiber body kit, a polycarbonate rear window and a sportier suspension. The model also comes equipped with carbon ceramic brake, Magnetic Ride Control and a roll cage.
Well further details are awaited and we can expect to hear soon from the company about the model.
