Facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLS spied once again

The spy photographers have again managed to click the images with the facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLS while undergoing testing ahead of a launch in late 2014.

The updated CLS will host slightly modified front and rear bumpers along with what appears to be a light revision of the side skirts. The company also has plans to tweak the headlights and taillights while inside the cabin there will be a few minor changes such as a larger COMAND knob and display together with a reshaped steering wheel.

The company informed that all these changes will be implemented not only in the four-door CLS but also in the Shooting Brake version as well as in the AMG models. The latter will supposedly carry over the twin-turbo V8 5.5-liter engine with an output capacity of 557 HP (410 kW) and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque which in the range-topping S-Model produces 585 HP (430 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm).

Nothing has been officially confirmed but we can expect the updated CLS lineup to be unveiled in the second half of this year or at the beginning of next year.
