The Italian Stallion previewed a 599 roadster (or “Barchetta”, perhaps?) at Pebble Beach very recently. Back in June this year Ferrari had announced its plan to organize a special presentation of topless 599 sports car for the people. Notably, the aforementioned preview came only after the announcement from Ferrari. The most surprising part of the entire incident however is that this preview took so long after the announcement. Even though the nondisclosure agreements and a no cell phone policy did exist, it does not seem to have been honored.
The automobile experts and analysts are of the opinion that the 599 GTO roadster is going to be a limited edition model. This is because only 100 units of the roadster are likely to be produced. It is also anticipated that, a big chunk of this limited edition model is likely to be consumed in the US alone. The limited edition model, however, should have the same higher output of power and torque levels as the other GTO model. The roadster will have a V12 engine that will churn out a total of 670 hp to power the car. The super sports vehicle will also have an emergency top that you may want to snap on, in case of a bad weather. Since it is a limited edition model it is much unlikely that you would do get one for yourself unless you are a person of means. However, just in case you are, then expect the sports vehicle’s price to be in the 599 GTO ++ range.
