Only a couple of days earlier, an Italian prancing horse test mule was spotted and it was expected to be the upcoming 458 M model. Well, the test mule may well actually be the aforementioned vehicle model, after all. The Italian automaker, Ferrari, has officially teased the public with a set of images and even a video of its upcoming vehicle that will bear the 458 M moniker. Keeping in mind that the Ferrari 458 Italia was a very capable supercar that even earned the international engine of the year award when it was launched, it is exciting to see what this new model will have in store.
To begin with, the car will not come with too many aesthetic changes in terms of its visual design, which is unfortunate, if you ask me. As a matter of fact, the car will even come with only two exhaust pipes instead of three as in the case of the predecessor. So, the exhaust layout is no longer inspired by the Ferrari F40 this time. In addition to that, the car is also reportedly going to have its naturally aspirated engine ditched in favor of a 3.8L V8 engine with twin turbochargers.
Speaking of the new 458 M model, Ferrari is teasing the public with images that seem to claim the car packs huge power whenever the driver wants it. The official teaser images from the company have the tagline that says, “You have #POWER when you want it: immediately”.
Besides revealing teaser images and video of the new vehicle, the Italian automaker, which is based in Maranello, Italy, has also confirmed that the Ferrari 458 M will make its debut on February 3, 2015. The car will supposedly have no less than 666 hp and 745 Nm of power and torque and it will most likely be paired with an upgraded 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) system.
