Fiat 500 1957 Edition shows its retro side in L.A.

Fiat is displaying a retro-flavored version of its cute 500 city car at the Los Angeles Auto Show after an announcement made just a week ago.

This is a limited edition model and is a throwback to the Cinquecento which will be available only with a MultiAir 1.4-liter engine developing 101 hp (75 kW) and 132 Nm (98 lb-ft) of torque. The motor will work in combination with either a 5-speed manual or an optional 6-speed auto transmission gearbox. It will ride on exclusive 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-season performance tires and will also be fitted with a sport-tuned suspension.

The model will come with three exterior colors: Celeste (celestial blue), Verde Chiaro (light green) and Bianco (white) which will be matched to a Bianco roof and Marrone (brown) leather seats inside the cabin. The interiors also feature a premium sound system, metallic accents and a leather-covered steering wheel.

The 2014 Fiat 500 1957 Edition will be sold with a unique key fob featuring a Marrone casing and “1957” graphic that would be painted in blue color. It will go on sale next spring and the pricing is expected to be disclosed closer to its market release.
