Fiat 500XL photographed inside factory

by SpeedLux

The Fiat 500XL has been revealed through a picture taken within the factory.

The 500XL is the seven-seat version of the 500L and will be longer by 200mm (7.9 inches). It can be seen in the picture that the people-carrier sports a third later window which is on account of the increase in length, along with the third row of seats.

In terms of looks, the 500L car itself is not among the most attractive cars and so we can expect that the 500XL will follow the path and it is also not expected to be the attractive model. However, the other part of the 500XL which is good is that it provides an additional 100 liters of cargo room and two extra seats.

In terms of power, the engine lineup is expected to be carried over from the 500L model. As a result, the car would come fitted with a 0.9-liter TwinAir Turbo gasoline engine capable of generating 105 HP (74 kW) and 107 lb-ft (145 Nm) of torque and a 1.6-liter MultiJet II turbodiesel which will produce the same amount of horsepower but the torque increased to 236 lb-ft (320 Nm). It should also be offered with a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine and a 1.3-liter MultiJet engine.

The 2013 Fiat 500XL will enter production phase in late May in Kragujevac in Serbia and the deliveries are expected to start towards the end of July.
