Fiat is all set to welcome the new members of the 500 family series, which are the Fiat 500 Abarth Cabriolet and 500E electric car, and these cars are all set to debut in the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, at hitting the showrooms shortly after that.
This piece of news isn’t that new because 500E with their electric power sockets exposed have been spotted previously and the 500 Abarth Cabrio existence ws popular by the spill of the documents submitted to California Air Resources Board (CARB).
As for the cars, the name itself suggest that the 500 Abarth Cabrio is essentially a convertible version of the 500 Abarth hot hatch. Which will be featuring a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission which would deliver 160HP, and the car will be featuring the same retractable-cloth-roof found on the regular 500 Cabrio. And As for the 500E, Fiat had first showcased this car at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show, and this new EV is expected to be giving an output of 74 kW (100 horsepower), and the vehicle may run 160 km (100 miles) on a single charge, guaranteed by the lithium-ion battery pack.
We don’t have any more official details on the model, but stay tuned onto this space for more information will be posted, once the show kicks-off, as of now enjoy the clicks.
