Florida Woman Set Car on Fire Thinking It Was Her Ex-Boyfriend’s

by David Bond

A Florida female presumably caught on video last month lighting an automobile on fire– because she supposedly believed it was her ex-boyfriend’s, according to reports– was apprehended Saturday, cops stated.

Carmen Chamblee, 19, is dealing with a second-degree arson charge for apparently lighting a car on fire in Clearwater, Florida, cops stated in a post on Facebook.

She presumably informed authorities she thought the automobile was her ex-boyfriend’s, according to ABC Action News and the Tampa Bay Times.

Regrettably for one white Honda Accord owner, it was not.

Chamblee was seen by a Pinellas County constable’s deputy on Saturday just south of Clearwater’s city limits and was taken to the Pinellas County jail, cops stated. She apparently set the fire on August 28, according to the Times.

“Thanks to all who called and wrote in with various tips,” authorities wrote on Facebook.

Chamblee was set to appear in court for the very first time on September 4, according to ABC Action News. She remains in custody, according to prison records.

It was not immediately clear if she had entered a plea or retained a lawyer.
