Ford has recently unveiled the Figo concept which previews an upcoming B-segment small sedan production model in India.
It looks like a sedan version of the recent Ka concept and according to the Blue Oval company it was fine-tuned through hundreds of hours of wind-tunnel testing to improve aerodynamics and reduce wind noise. The concept has been developed primarily for Indian markets and other emerging markets with extra stowing spaces in a spacious cabin (not finalized on the photographed concept) even though the car’s overall length is less than four meters.
One of the highlights of the Figo small sedan concept are its electrically-adjustable power-folding mirrors which benefit form a flexible architecture that diminishes the risks of being ripped off after colliding with another car or a motorcycle.
However the company did not inform anything when the model is expected to be launched but taking into account this concept looks pretty much production ready and a nearly identical model is likely to hit Indian showrooms later this year or may be early 2015. However as of now we will have for the official confirmation of the launch and further details to be released by the company.
