If you happen to be quite a fan of the present generation Ford EcoSport, chances are, you may want to pay a visit to this year’s Geneva Motor Show event. The thing is that the American automaker has taken the liberty of showcasing a facelifted version of the EcoSport model. One thing noticeable about this facelift is that there is no more spare wheel mounted at the rear end of the car.
Appearing at the stage in Geneva, the EcoSport facelift from Ford comes with a Deep Impact Blue finishing. Also, for customers that spend their cash on the higher trim, they will be eligible for a rear diffuser, a privacy glass, exterior side mirror caps, a black roof and 17-inch bespoke alloy wheels.
Based on the Ford Fiesta, the EcoSport facelift has been treated with an array of updates. These updates include a more soundproof material, tighter pedals, partially leather-wrapped seats, relocated handbrake, a 4-inch colorful display, rear seat ducting and also heated seats, mirrors and windshield.
Did we mention earlier that the car does no longer bear a spare wheel on its back? Well, this is because the spare wheel has now been made available as an option. Customers purchasing the standard package will be provided with a tire mobility kit instead. In addition to that, the engineers at Ford have also tweaked the rear twist beam and also the damper and spring rates. The ground clearance of the vehicle has also been decreased by ten millimeters.
The 2015 Ford EcoSport facelift also comes with a power steering system, Electronic Stability Control, a rearview camera and also a satellite navigation system. The American company has also pointed out that the engine lineups of the vehicle will now all comply with the Euro 6.1 emission regulation. The car is expected to go on sale June this year.
