General Motors’ President Mark Reuss said on Monday the automaker will be launching an electrified version of its two-door Corvette sports car by 2023.
The automaker will introduce an electrified version of the Corvette, and it will be followed by an all-electric version using the automaker’s Ultium battery technology, Reuss said.
His comments about releasing an electric Corvette were made earlier during a CNBC interview.
GM’s Corvette which has been conventionally fitted with petrol engines, races to keep up with other rivals in the space, including Ferrari NV, which provide gasoline-electric hybrid and turbocharged engines.
