There may not be many people out there, not even car enthusiasts, who know about Lister Motor Company. Well, there is no wonder. After all, this British automaker has not been manufacturing any cars whatsoever for the last twenty five years. Needless to say, that is definitely a very long time for a car company to not produce any cars. Nonetheless, back in September 2013, the company made an official announcement regarding its comeback to the world of automotive. Following that announcement, the company has now provided the public with the very first glance at its upcoming model, which is going to be a hypercar.
The Lister Motor Company has shared two sketches of the car it is going to produce imminently. As mentioned earlier, it is going to be a hypercar and it is going to be very capable as well. Lawrence Whittaker pointed out, as reported by the Auto Express, the car would be hiding a 7.8L V12 engine under its hood. Whittaker claimed that it would be a piece of cake for the engine to reach a top speed of 250 mph. With such a speed, the car deserves to be placed in a position equivalent to the likes of the Porsche 918 Spyder, Ferrari LaFerrari, Koenigsegg One:1 and even the successor to the Bugatti Veyron.
Unfortunately, the hypercar in question is not going to come at a cheap price and even Lister Motor Company itself admits this. Therefore, as of this moment, the Britain-based automaker is trying to attract some investors to help with its financial condition. For your information, however, during the past year, Lister managed to deliver nine Knobbly to the customers. This is the company’s anniversary model and to take one home, you will have to take GBP350,000 out of your pocket. Yet, as for its upcoming hypercar, the company is going to ask for GBP2 million, give or take.
